About me

For over a decade, I searched for my unknown maternal grandfather, with no details about him. Several years on, direct to consumer DNA kits became available in Australia, and I pounced. My obsession with genetic genealogy was born upon receiving my results and identifying my mother’s father.

My mission is to give others the opportunity to discover where they came from using DNA results: not rumours, stories or partial memories handed down from a family member.

Everyone has a story, and everyone’s family tree is fascinating. Not all cases have a fairytale ending though, as sometimes a biological parent has passed away, or may not want any contact. In my case there was a significant genetic health matter that we had no knowledge of. Now that I know my truth though, I can embrace it. 

Whilst not all my clients are trying to identify biological family members, many have wanted a thorough family history report, or illustrative family tree for display. I approach these with equal enthusiasm, cherishing the opportunity to bring one’s ancestors alive again with their rich history.
